Background information of Lakshmi Panabaka:
She is a four-time MP and has been made a Union Minister (presently Textiles Minister) for a second time. She won elections for the first time in 1996 and got re-elected in 1998, 2004 and 2009. Her husband P Krishnaiah is a bueaucrat, he is the Chief Public Relations Officer of South Central Railway has played a major role in shaping her career. Ironically, he himself failed to win an assembly seat in 2009 elections.
