Rajkumari is from royal family of Kalakankar. She is the daughter of Dinesh Singh, a Congress MP and former Minister of External Affairs of India. Her great grandfather, Raja Avadhesh Singh, was talukdar of Kalakankar, Uttar Pradesh and he was also one of the founder members of the Congress Party. Brijesh Singh, one of Dinesh Singh’s uncles, was a Communist who married the Russian dictator Josef Stalin’s daughter Svetlana.
