Background information of Putul Kumari:
He started his political career at Jawaharlal Nehru University, where he was elected President of the Students Union. Digvijay was minister of State for External Affairs in the NDA government, he was denied a ticket by the JD(U). Defeated RJD leader and Minister of State Jai Prakash Narain Yadav by over 28,000 votes. The JD(U) came third in Banka. He was a close associate of former prime minister Chandrashekhar and had accompnaied him during his ‘Bharat Yatra’.
