Grandfather Bansi Lal was the former Chief Minister of Haryana. Her father, Late Choudhary Surender Singh was a two time MP, and also held the post of Haryana agriculture Minister. Her mother Kiran Choudhary was the Minister of State for Tourism and Forest in Haryana in 2004.
