Background information of Sukender Reddy Gutha:
A low profile realtor, Reddy was elected to the Lok Sabha in 1999 on TDP ticket. However, in 2009 he quit the TDP to join the Congress and got elected from the Nalgonda seat. He was considered very close to TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu but moved to Congress after he was persuaded to do so by YSR Reddy. His father Gade Venkata Reddy-was Minister for endowments stamps and registrations.
